At the annual meeting of the American Society for Engineering Education in Tampa, FL, Craig Musselman received the Glen L. Martin Practitioner Award from the ASEE Civil Engineering Division, an award issued annually to a practicing engineer for career-long contributions to engineering education. The award recognized his contributions in the areas of engineering licensure and the accreditation of university engineering programs on behalf of various national engineering organizations. He has given multiple presentations to academic audiences at ASEE conferences regarding engineering licensure, served a ten year stint on the Board of Directors of ABET and co-authored the NSPE Engineering Body of Knowledge. He has provided input to academic audiences on the need to incorporate outcomes such as project management in ABET general accreditation criteria for all engineering disciplines, and for the inclusion of climate change in the ABET civil engineering program criteria.
