CMA Engineers regularly completes the planning, permitting, design, and construction of drainage and stormwater facilities, either as stand-alone projects or as integral components of larger projects. Work typically includes comprehensive drainage studies using hydrologic watershed modeling and hydraulics modeling to design drainage system improvements. We have experience with computer hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, environmental permitting and design for an array of stormwater management facilities. These include numerous box culvert or bridge replacements, and facilities to manage and convey stormwater. Stormwater treatment for water quality (in addition to control of stormwater flow) is a central part of drainage and stormwater projects. We are completely familiar with State and Federal requirements in this area, and very experienced with the design of all types of low impact development (LID) stormwater management features using best management practices. In addition, our staff has regulatory agency experience with stormwater permitting through the federal EPA stormwater permits program, including NPDES permitting of industrial facilities as well as the MS4 program.
