We’re excited to share some fantastic news from our own Felipe Guimaraes! Outside of the office, Felipe not only plays but also manages an amateur soccer team made up of college friends — and they’ve just achieved something incredible.
Felipe’s team (Clube Desportivo Faialense) has officially qualified for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the oldest ongoing soccer tournament in the United States. This tournament brings together amateur clubs and professional teams from all levels, making this an impressive and rare achievement.
The team’s next challenge is facing Portland Hearts of Pine, a Division 3 professional team making their debut professional appearance — and Felipe’s team will be part of that history.
